Pike County Career Center to Host Fall Job Fair for Regional Employers, Job Seekers

MILFORD, Pa. — Job seekers will have an opportunity to meet with regional employers at the Pike County Career Center’s Fall Harvest Job Fair on Oct. 14.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Career Center, 837 Route 6, Unit 2, in Shohola. More than 15 regional employers are expected to participate, representing fields including education, health care, hospitality, law enforcement and sales.

Cindy DeFebo, director of the Pike County Career Center, said the smaller regional job fairs give job seekers an opportunity to interact directly with hiring representatives.

“At the Career Center, we enjoy organizing regional job fairs that highlight the local opportunities available to job seekers,” DeFebo said. “These smaller events not only showcase the strength of our regional workforce but also allow job seekers to meet and interact directly with hiring representatives in a more personal setting.”

Admission is free for job seekers and employers.

Employers interested in participating are encouraged to register early because space is limited. Registration information is available on the Pike County Career Center’s webpage at pikepa.org/careercenter.

The Career Center is also asking participating employers to contribute to its mini food pantry. The pantry supports unemployed and underemployed people in Pike County who use Career Center services.

At the Career Center’s recent Heat of Summer Job Fair, participating employers donated more than 200 nonperishable items.
