The River Reporter, a community newspaper covering the communities along the Upper Delaware River, will host a candidate forum with candidates for Town of Cochecton Supervisor on Thursday, October 29.

The forum will take place at the ARTS NEST at the Delaware Valley Opera Center at 6692 NY-52, Lake Huntington, New York, at 6 p.m. Candidates will discuss a range of significance to voters in the Town of Cochecton ahead of Election Day on Tuesday, November 3.

“Hosting these community forums helps the River Reporter further its mission of informing the public about the issues which most matter to them, and aligns with its historic track record of hosting events and discussions that help further the community conversation,” said River Reporter Editor Liam Mayo.

All candidates for Cochecton Supervisor – Republican nominee and Cochecton Deputy Supervisor Ed Grund, Democratic challenger and The River Reporter contributor Leanna Ballester, and Cochecton United and attorney Scott Goodman – have agreed to participate in the forum.

We should note that while Ballester is a contributor to The River Reporter, Radio Catskill will moderate the event, and the River Reporter team will not be involved in reviewing any candidate questions.

The forum will be taped and recorded for future distribution. Community members are invited to submit questions for the forum ahead of time through a Google Form or by emailing feedback@radiocatskill.org. In-person attendees will also have the opportunity to submit questions for consideration.

This is a free public event.
