River Reporter to Host Wayne, Pike Candidate Forum

The River Reporter, a community newspaper covering the communities along the Upper Delaware River, will host a candidate forum with candidates for statewide offices covering Wayne and Pike Counties on Thursday, October 8.

The forum will take place at the Wayne County Park Street Complex auditorium in Honesdale (648 West Park Street) at 6 p.m.

Candidates will discuss a range of topics of significance to voters throughout Northeast Pennsylvania ahead of the elections of Tuesday, November 3. The River Reporter is partnering with Radio Catskill to support this event.

“Hosting these community forums helps the River Reporter further its mission of informing the public about the issues which most matter to them, and aligns with its historic track record of hosting events and discussions that help further the community conversation,” said River Reporter Editor Liam Mayo.

Confirmed candidates expected to attend include Jackie Baker (SD-20), Kyle Devlin (HD-111), and Dominique Azzolini (HD-139). Senator Rosemary Brown and Representative Jeff Olsommer are unable to attend.

Invitations have been extended to candidates for Pennsylvania State Senate District 20 and District 40 and Pennsylvania State House District 111 and District 139.

Community members are invited to submit questions for the forum ahead of time through a Google Form. In-person attendees will also have the opportunity to submit questions for consideration.

This is a free public event. For more information, email liam@riverreporter.com.
