Dunmore, PA – Drivers on Interstate 84 in Pike County should expect rolling slowdowns eastbound and westbound between Exit 17 (Hamlin/Newfoundland) and Exit 26 (Tafton/Promised Land State Park) on Wednesday, March 25, and Thursday, March 26, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).

PennDOT crews will be pulling fiberoptic cables across the highway during the overnight hours. Motorists are urged to obey posted speed limits, use headlights, follow flagger directions, and avoid distractions. In high-traffic areas, drivers are encouraged to use both lanes to the merge point and take turns merging safely.
