Monticello, NY — The Sullivan County Legislature will celebrate 100 years of Black History on Thursday, February 26, with a special ceremony honoring community service and local leaders.

The event is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Legislative Hearing Room at the Government Center.

During the ceremony, Pedro Tweed will be recognized for his longstanding commitment to the people of Sullivan County.

Special guest speakers include Judge William Little Jr. of the New York State Supreme Court, Third Judicial District; Kayshawn Macharie, administrator of the Adult Care Center; and Ramone Wilson, the county’s Human Rights Director.
