Sullivan County’s 2026 Real Estate Tax Foreclosure Auction will be held online Sept. 14-16, with bidding opening at 10 a.m. Sept. 14 and closing at 10 a.m. Sept. 16.
Property owners whose parcels are in foreclosure still have an opportunity to repurchase them by making full payment to the Sullivan County Treasurer’s Office by Aug. 21.
“We don’t want anyone to lose their home and will work with tax-delinquent owners to the fullest extent the law permits,” Sullivan County Treasurer Kathleen Lara said.
The auction includes properties in 15 Sullivan County towns. Potential bidders are encouraged to register through the auction website to receive information about the terms and conditions, foreclosure process and associated liens.
There will be no property showings, although most parcels can be viewed from public roadways. Lara advises bidders to research properties, including any outstanding liens, water and sewer assessments, taxes and fees.
All sales are subject to final approval by the Sullivan County Legislature.
