HONESDALE, Pa. — The Wayne Conservation District will host a free Soil Health Field Day on Aug. 28 at the County Farm in Honesdale.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 245 Bethel School Road. Participants will learn about using drones for crop assessment, how to use a soil test kit and other soil health topics.
A free bagged lunch will be provided to those who pre-register for the event. The first 30 people to register also will receive a free soil test kit to take home.
The program is available through a mini grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
