Wayne Tomorrow! is hosting a series of community outreach sessions as part of the 2026 update to the Wayne County Housing Study. The meetings will present updated housing data and examine how local trends have changed since the county’s 2023 study.
Organizers say the sessions are also intended to be a conversation.
Residents, community leaders and other stakeholders will have an opportunity to discuss the housing challenges they see in their communities and ideas for possible solutions. Each session will include a review of the updated data, followed by time for open dialogue.
The meetings are scheduled for:
- Oct. 10, 6:30–7:30 p.m., Barker Street Apartments, 615 Barker St., Hawley
- Oct. 20, 6:30–7:30 p.m., White Mills Fire Hall, 695 Texas Palmyra Highway, White Mills
- Nov. 13, 6:30–7:30 p.m., Stourbridge Tech Hub, 646 W. Park St., Honesdale
- Nov. 17, 6:30–7:30 p.m., Housing Authority, 130 Carbondale Road, Waymart
Light refreshments will be available at the sessions.
The updated housing study is intended to provide a picture of current conditions while giving residents and community partners a chance to help shape the discussion about housing in Wayne County.
