FALLSBURG, N.Y. – At least three children from Brooklyn were injured by a fallen power line in the town of Fallsburg on Wednesday and were emergency airlifted to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla.
The incident occurred just after 1 p.m. on August 12 after several children came into contact with a fallen high-voltage power line at Camp Shopron on Route 42 in Fallsburg, according to Fallsburg Fire Chief Jordan Kozachuk.
At least three children were electrocuted by the power line Wednesday afternoon.
The Fallsburg and Woodridge Fire Departments, Hatzalah EMS, NYSEG, Fallsburg Police Department, and the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office arrived and led an emergency response.
Kozachuk told Radio Catskill that they had no update on the children’s current condition.
