SULLIVAN COUNTY, N.Y. — Fire service leaders and emerging leaders will have an opportunity to participate in a training program focused on the challenges facing today’s fire service.
“Leading Through Today’s Fire Service Challenges,” presented by instructor Dave Denniston, is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, at the Richard A. Martinkovic Public Safety Training Center, 615 Old White Lake Turnpike in Swan Lake. NY.
The program is designed for fire commissioners, chiefs, officers and emerging leaders. Organizers say it will address issues including governance, risk management, staffing, compliance, liability and organizational culture.
The training will focus on practical strategies and tools intended to strengthen leadership, improve performance, reduce liability and help fire service organizations prepare for the future.

The training is sponsored by the Sullivan County Division of Public Safety, Emergency Services Insurance Program and the Association of Fire Districts of the State of New York.
