SULLIVAN COUNTY, N.Y. — The Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce & Industry is accepting nominations for its 2026 Your Partner for Success Annual Awards Gala, which will recognize businesses, organizations, partnerships and individuals contributing to Sullivan County’s economic and community development.
“One thing has become clear, success looks different for everyone, but it is built through connection,” said Matthew Sush, president and CEO of the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce & Industry. “A conversation becomes a partnership. An idea becomes a business. A business creates jobs. An investment creates opportunity. A leader brings people together.”
The Chamber has also renamed and broadened one of its longstanding awards. The former Businessperson of the Year recognition is now the Building Success | Economic Impact Award.
The award will recognize businesses, projects and investments that create jobs, attract visitors, strengthen the local economy and contribute to future growth.
“The recognition has evolved, but the honor has not,” Sush said. “The Economic Impact Award is intended to carry the same significance and prestige as Businessperson of the Year, while recognizing the broader impact that businesses, investments, projects, and partnerships have on Sullivan County.”
The six 2026 award categories are:
- Building Success | Economic Impact Award: Recognizes businesses, projects and investments that create jobs, attract visitors, strengthen the economy and support future growth.
- Growing Success | Small Business of the Year: Honors a small business for achievement, leadership, resilience, innovation, customer service and commitment to Sullivan County.
- Inspiring Success | Emerging Leader: Recognizes an emerging leader whose vision, initiative and commitment are making a meaningful difference in the county.
- Strengthening Success | Community Champion: Honors an individual or organization whose service has helped strengthen Sullivan County.
- Connecting Success | Partnership Excellence: Recognizes an exceptional collaboration among businesses, nonprofits, government, community organizations or other partners.
- Sustaining Success | Philanthropic Impact Award, presented by Resorts World Catskills: Recognizes philanthropic leadership and contributions that create lasting benefits for Sullivan County communities.
Nominations can be submitted through the Sullivan County Chamber’s online award nomination form.
The gala is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 12, beginning at 5:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “Connect the Dots,” reflecting the Chamber’s focus on relationships, collaboration, investment and shared purpose.
